Corgi 1/50 U.S. Army H13 MASH
Similar to the helicopter used in the TV series M*A*S*H
Muddy weathered appearance
One of the first helicopters developed by Bell, the H13 is a derivative of the Bell Model 30, which was developed as early as 1943. It first flew in 1945 and was delivered to US forces in Korea in January 1951. The veteran who piloted this H13, Second Lieutenant Byron Howlett, Jr., was stationed with the 46th Surgical Hospital MASH, near the Punch Bowl. He flew through monsoons wind freezing weather to deliver patients to hospitals.
Larry Linville starred as the whiny surgeon Maj. Frank Burns on the long-running television hit MASH. Pay tribute to the late great actor and his classic character with this wallpaper from the historic series.
